What is Complementary Therapy?

Holistic complementary therapies have been practiced for thousands of years, dating back to 10000 BC. Many ancient civilizations such as the Egyptians, Mayans & Aztecs and Native American Indians practiced various forms of holistic therapy.

The holistic approach is unlike ‘conventional medicine’, as a therapist it my job to not just look at that particular symptom you may be experiencing, but to look at you as a whole. Looking at all aspects of your life, such as life style, occupation, diet, past illnesses, emotions, sleep pattern, general health and what makes you tick.

Sadly for many, lives are lived within a bubble of tension and stress, those two key words ‘tension’ & ‘stress’ are the keys to the doors of potential future health problems and a great cause to a number of today’s illnesses.  Illness, disease, injury or stress very often causes the body to be in a state of imbalance, vital energy pathways are blocked thus preventing the body and its individual systems from functioning effectively.
